About
Greetings! This webpage serves as a public repository of my visual works (photography and generative art, for the most part).
I hope that you will find the presented visuals aesthetically pleasing. But what to expect in the first place?
Photography
For me, photography is a way to both explore the world and express myself. I prefer taking pictures of “everyday” objects from perspectives accenting structures, or sceneries. I especially enjoy seeing the world through the wide lens (Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM ART). At the same time, you would most likely find Canon EF 50mm f/1,8 STM attached to EOS 100D in my backpack.
My aspiration is that some of the captured perspectives will resonate with you, dear viewer. Let’s see!
Generative Art
A couple of years ago, I came across generative art - a unique domain intersecting the worlds of coding and art -, and I began to appreciate it quite shortly after. To somewhat simplify things, generative art represents the involvement of a human-independent system (such as an algorithm) in a creative process.
Back then, Generative pre-trained transformers were available in their 2nd incarnation. The fascinating translation of the natural language into pictures that later became associated with DALL-E, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion, was still a thing of the future. Yet, this did not stop various tinkerers from leveraging less abstract means to produce what could be considered art.
Later on, I started using the large language models for text-to-image use cases like many others. Personally, I have found Stable Diffusion as the most likeable due to its open-source nature and code-first approach.
Now that you know what to expect, take a peek at “my” pieces if you like.
